Recently,
I heard that
one of my mom’s friend’s children
really loves Anpanman.
When my mom heard that,
she went,
“Ah! Come to think of it~”
and remembered
this Anpanman family
she started making
a long time ago.

I loved Anpanman
when I was little too,
so my mom
was going to make
Anpanman family cushions
for me.
That’s why
the appliqués
aren’t store-bought,
but handmade
by my mom!
They look
pretty realistic, right~?
But while she
was making them,
she got busy,
so she stopped
at the appliqué stage.
Apparently,
making the appliqués
is the hardest part.
My mom made
a lot of handmade things
for me.
She made
a teddy bear by hand,
and lots of different clothes
so I could
dress the teddy bear up...
She also covered
milk cartons with fabric
and made
little miniature chairs...
Oh,
and in that old photo
with my little brother
that I posted
on the blog before,
apparently the smock
he was wearing
was handmade too.
The fact that
I love handmade things
and detailed work
definitely comes
from my mom...
………Oh, and
that Anpanman!
We’re going to give it
to my mom’s friend’s child,
who loves Anpanman,
so it’s saying goodbye
to the Suzuki household...
That’s why
